Old Wheels 02:59
I knew a man with rock melon rhythm, I knew a man with a pistol in his pocket, I knew a man who called the wind Maria, I knew a man with a moon river wallet I knew a man with his old wheels rolling like a train down that rusty road I knew a man who thought that freedom was a burden, I knew a man who smoked tumble tumble weed, I knew a man who just like to feel them rolling wheels underneath his soul, I knew a man with them old wheels rolling like a train down that rusty road Hey the moods arising it's breaking down the walls Yeah the moons arising she makes me feel whole oh when the old wheels are rolling like a train down that rusty road !!!!

Slow Train 04:36
It’s a quarter past eight and Im sitting on the back step Drinking a cup off coffee, thinking about getting on my way I got a job around the corner and it pays alright Try to get down there at least a couple hours every day And aint for the money only a little for the buzzzzz Yeah I think it’s just because it’s the way Oh the way things are And I, yeah Im on that slow train, and I don’t mind Yeah I’m on that slow train and I feel fine Well the weathers getting warmer and the days are growing shorter I got a fresh load of laundry hanging on my line I watch it rustle around in the easterly breeze I watch the wind call the birds up in the trees And I let my mind wander oh so far away let my mind go almost every day oh yes I do and I, I’m on that slow train and I feel fine and I, I’m on that slow train and I ain’t going no where with out you tonight, I’ll give it all up for you turn my world from blue into gold for you tonight I will make you mine if you make me yours, I will do those things, I’ll open the doors oh I can be the man you need me to be tonight tonight, I’ll give it all up for you turn my world from blue into gold for you tonight

A while since I’ve been walking on White sand, blue water, feel the breeze I haven’t seen the sunset over the ocean for How long, so long, feels like years And the colours…. reflecting over the bay A window to your soul and I never ever ever want to leave this day No I never ever want to go Away……ay away….ay… ay from the Kimberley moon From the Kimberley moon Oh it seem so subtle but so so real How you look and how it makes me feel The anxious wait between then and now Got to draw you in somehow First I was nervous but now that’s gone Still a little something but oh… Everything is running and it’s green light go I am driving no dead man slow When I’m driving with you Oh I’m driving with you Away……ay away….ay… ay from the Kimberley moon From the Kimberley moon Red rock red sand red blood pumps thru My heart when I’m sitting close with you Lean for a kiss under boab tree And Im so damn ahhhh And I’m driving, driving into Broome A while since I’ve been walking on White sand, blue water, feel the breeze I haven’t seen the sunset over the ocean for How long, so long, feels like years How long, so long, feels like years How long, so long, feels like years

about

Raw, honest & pure. Live @The Ellington 2015 was recorded late on a Sunday evening in Northbridge, Perth. Carefully mixed to tape and mastered thru the best analogue gear at Crank Studio. The EP contains four favourites of the last couple of years and a previously unreleased early '70's Dylan style folk track about the changing seasons of life. Cal is a true troubadour of the Western Australian folk trail.
